The Egyptian national under-20 football team might skip the North African Football Union (UNAF) championship scheduled for January 2013 in Algiers if they end up in the same group as Algeria. The decision would be made after the draw in Algeria. The team’s technical manager, Rabie Yacine, expressed this stance, citing a desire to avoid facing Algeria in the group stage. The Egyptian U-20 team is set to begin preparations for the African championship with a training camp starting next Monday in Cairo, including a friendly match against a local second division team.
