Egypt stood tall on the podium at the Globes Soccer Awards 2023 held in the United Arab Emirates, witnessing Al Ahly’s triumph as the Best Club in the Middle East and Zed Academy as the region’s premier academy.
The prestigious event saw Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo securing three distinct awards, while Erling Haaland claimed the title of the Best Player in 2023.
Mahmoud El Khatib, President of Al Ahly, graciously accepted the award, expressing, “I dedicate this award to Amr Farouk, who is undergoing a major health crisis, and I wish him a speedy recovery.”

Pedri clinched the Best Young Player award, officially marking Al Ahly’s presence alongside Kahraba, Kahraba, and El Shenawy as finalists at the Globes Soccer Awards 2023.
On another note, Saif Zaher, CEO of Zed Investment Company, received the award, the club’s second since 2021, for Best Youth Sector in Africa.
