Ebenezer Assifuah, the young striker from Liberty Professionals, was honored with the adidas Golden Shoe for his outstanding performance at the Under-20 World Cup, where he played a pivotal role in Ghana’s third-place finish. Assifuah scored a total of 6 goals during the competition, earning him the prestigious award.
Expressing his happiness and pride, Assifuah said, “I am very happy to have scored my sixth goal against Iraq, in the match for third place. I had a hard time scoring all these goals but, in the end, I’m proud of what I accomplished.”
Assifuah’s impactful contributions, including a crucial double against the United States and a vital goal in the quarter-final against Chile, played a significant role in Ghana’s success.
