The Egyptian Football Association confirmed preparations for the national team’s World Cup 2026 campaign, announcing a training camp in Qatar during March.
The Pharaohs will face two international opponents as part of their preparations under coach Hossam Hassan’s guidance.
Egypt will play Saudi Arabia on March 26, followed by a match against Spain on March 30. Both fixtures form part of the federation’s broader strategy to enhance the team’s technical and physical readiness before crucial international commitments ahead.
The Egyptian Federation emphasized its commitment to providing the best possible preparation for the national team. The federation coordinated with the technical staff to ensure exposure to different football systems through matches against quality opposition. This approach aims to raise performance levels and prepare the squad adequately for upcoming tournaments.
The announcement came as Egypt continues its participation in the African Cup of Nations currently held in Morocco. Following the continent’s showpiece event, these international friendlies will serve as vital preparation points for the Pharaohs’ World Cup qualification journey, allowing the coaching staff to evaluate players and fine-tune tactical approaches before major tournaments.
