The prospect of another major departure looms over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), as the Catalan daily Sport reports that Thiago Silva, the Brazilian defender and captain of PSG, is close to signing with Barcelona. The front page of the daily boldly states, “Si Quiere” (“Yes, he wants”).
According to the report, Barcelona has offered Thiago Silva a five-year contract with an annual salary of around nine million euros. Thiago Silva had expressed his desire to leave PSG in recent days, and the club had reportedly agreed to let him go for a compensation fee of 42 million euros.
