It was officially confirmed on a Friday that Aurélien Chedjou’s transfer had been completed. The process had been initiated even before the transfer window began, but administrative issues had caused delays. Lille bid farewell to Chedjou, who had been their defender for six seasons until the end of the most recent season.
The club expressed gratitude to the Cameroonian international defender for his contributions over the six seasons, during which he played 206 matches and scored 17 goals in all competitions while wearing the Lille jersey. In a press release on the club’s website, Lille extended warm thanks to Chedjou and wished him success in his new adventure in Turkey.
