Amidst the crisis in the Cameroonian football federation (Fecafoot), its president, Iya Mohamed, who is currently detained at Kondengui central prison in Yaoundé, has shifted his focus to his own legal troubles. Facing accusations of causing damage of 9 billion to the state company SODECOTON, of which he was the director, Mohamed has sent a letter to President Paul Biya, denying the allegations and presenting his version of the events. In the letter, Mohamed criticizes the commission of inquiry for not providing him with the report of its investigation. Meanwhile, former vice-president John Begheni Ndeh is vying for control of Fecafoot in Mohamed’s absence.
