Dutch-Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has expressed his delight after Liverpool rounded off 2025 with an impressive run of results, capped by a 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening.
Frimpong featured from the start in the Boxing Day Premier League clash, which formed part of the 18th round of fixtures. The win extended Liverpool’s winning streak to four and underlined the team’s strong momentum heading into the new year.
Reacting to the result, Frimpong shared his excitement on his official Instagram account.
He said, “Four consecutive victories to end the year. I can’t wait for 2026 with you, Reds.”
Prior to the Wolves encounter, Liverpool had recorded victories against Inter Milan, Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur, making it four straight wins across competitions to close out the year on a high note.
The latest result ensured Liverpool finished 2025 in fourth place on the Premier League table, keeping them firmly in the hunt near the top end of the standings.
Frimpong and his teammates will be aiming to carry this positive momentum into the new year as they push for more victories and look to mount a serious challenge for the league title.
