The local AFCON 2025 organizing committee in Agadir has issued a clear and firm message to fans after the huge crowds that attended Egypt’s group matches in the Moroccan city.
In its statement, the committee described Agadir as living an “exceptional moment” as it hosts major continental football, placing the city at the centre of attention across Africa and beyond. It praised the passionate supporters, known for their love of football, but stressed that organization at Grand Stade d’Agadir follows strict technical and security standards set by CAF.
The committee reminded fans that the stadium’s capacity is fixed and cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. Entry to the stands is strictly limited to holders of valid tickets, and anyone without one will not be allowed into the ground, in order to protect supporter safety and keep matches running smoothly.
While expressing full understanding of the fans’ passion, the committee called on everyone to show responsibility and discipline by respecting CAF’s regulations. It added that the tournament is closely monitored by international bodies, particularly FIFA, with Morocco preparing for the 2030 World Cup, and stressed that any behaviour outside the rules harms the city’s image, whereas respect for the law turns the stands into a “civilised message” that reflects the public’s awareness.
