A solitary strike from youngster Karl Etta Eyong was enough to hand Cameroon a narrow win over Gabon on Wednesday in their opening match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The forward scored in the 6th minute with a thumping finish after he was assisted by Manchester United attacker Bryan Mbeumo.
Despite their best efforts, Gabon struggled to break down Cameroon’s solid defense throughout the game and had to succumb to a narrow 1-0 win at full-time.
