Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana has hinted at his desire to stay at Trabzonspor beyond his Manchester United loan, insisting that he is having the time of his life in Turkey.
Onana, who is currently on loan from Manchester United, featured in a video released on Trabzonspor’s official YouTube channel titled “A Day in the Life of Andre Onana.”
The behind-the-scenes feature offered insight into the goalkeeper’s daily routine and his growing connection with the club and its supporters.
During the video, the 28-year-old expressed clear satisfaction with his situation, suggesting that his time at Trabzonspor has been deeply fulfilling both on and off the pitch.
“I’m very happy, believe me. I’m having the time of my life. I can’t complain, I’m very happy to be here,” Onana said.
The goalkeeper also reflected on the passion of Trabzonspor fans and the unique bond he has developed with them, admitting that it took time to adjust but that he now fully embraces the culture and affection shown towards him.
“Sometimes I’m driving and a car cuts me off. ‘Onana, stop, I want a picture.’ I think to myself, ‘Yes, but we can do this differently.’ But when they see me, they’re happy, and so am I.
“At first it was difficult, but now I understand. They are my people, I love them, and I love this feeling. Because they are very passionate. It’s something wonderful. Something you can’t describe if you’re not here,” he shared
Onana went on to describe his spell at the club as a defining and positive chapter in his career, praising the lifestyle and atmosphere surrounding the team.
“But the time I spent here was perfect for me. I’m happy to be here. It’s a different way of life, but it’s great. Truly incredible, fantastic,” Onana said.
