Pape Diouf, who left the presidency of Olympique de Marseille four years ago, expressed his nostalgia for his time at the club and did not rule out a potential return to a leadership role at Marseille. Diouf, a Franco-Senegalese figure, managed OM from 2005 to 2009 and remains popular among Marseille supporters. In an interview with RMC, he stated:
“I gave everything I had as president. I was this supporter who had loved this club for a long time and who had the chance to be in charge and to be able to give it a form of serenity. I remain viscerally attached to the colors of Marseille. So it’s true that in this case, I would probably not be indifferent if I could help the club regain its global dimension. But I don’t shave every morning thinking about OM.”
