I will do my best to help Cameroon secure AFCON 2025 title – Carlos Baleba
Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba has set sights on helping Cameroon secure the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.
Baleba, who has eleven international appearance with the Indomitable Lions is set for his first AFCON tournament in Morocco, which will be held between December 21 and January 18
However, the in-demand midfielder has promised to do everything possible to help Cameroon secure the title in the North African country.
“We are a young team, but that doesn’t mean we can’t challenge the biggest teams. This is the first time many of us have participated in the Africa Cup of Nations, but I think my teammates are just as excited as I am to have this first experience.”
“We have good harmony, and I feel that the group is very united” said the 21-year-old while commending team harmony.
“I can’t wait to get started, I’m proud to represent Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations, and I will do my best to win the title for my country, that’s my dream.”
Carlos Baleba has become a key player in the Cameroon squad, thanks to his outstanding performances in the English Premier League with Brighton.
His name occasionally appears on the list of players wanted by top clubs, most recently Manchester United in the summer of 2025.
The Cameroonian national team will participate in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Group F, alongside Ivory Coast, Gabon and Mozambique.
