Bayern Munich make official move for Egyptian teen talent Hamza Abdelkarim

Barcelona are edging closer to signing Al Ahly’s young striker Hamza Abdelkarim, with talks between the two clubs entering a serious phase in recent hours.

The player clearly wants to wear the famous Blaugrana shirt, and there is growing alignment between all parties to finalize the move soon.

Egyptian journalist Ahmed Shobier revealed on his show “Al Nazer” that Ahly are open to sending Hamza on loan to Barcelona but want to fully protect the club’s interests. He explained that the Cairo giants have agreed in principle to a loan, especially after a previous offer from Bayern Munich, but have attached specific conditions to any deal.

According to Shobier, Ahly are demanding that the loan contract include a mandatory purchase clause obliging Barcelona to sign Hamza permanently after the loan. Negotiations have recently seen a clear breakthrough, with Ahly keen to give the young forward a European opportunity, particularly as Barcelona are strongly pushing to secure him.

Barcelona’s interest intensified after closely monitoring Hamza at the Under‑17 World Cup in Qatar, where his movement and finishing inside the box impressed the club’s scouts. The player has since frozen other offers, while his father has contacted Ahly’s board to ask that his son be allowed to take this step.

Hamza is viewed as a classic number nine with smart movement, strong back‑to‑goal play, powerful shooting and clean finishing, all qualities that fit Barcelona’s attacking style. Reports add that the Catalan club have promised he will join the first team’s summer pre‑season if the transfer is completed, making Barcelona his clear priority for the next stage of his career.
