Moroccan midfield maestro Imrân Louza joins Ligue 1 powerhouse FC Lorient on loan

Imran Louza

FC Lorient has officially welcomed Moroccan midfielder Imrân Louza to their ranks on loan from English club Watford, as confirmed in a press release issued on Monday.

The announcement outlined the terms of the agreement, elucidating that Imrân Louza, aged 24, would be joining FC Lorient on a loan basis without a purchase option, a commitment extending until the conclusion of the current season.

Watford, currently positioned 8th in the Championship, has facilitated the loan arrangement with the talented Moroccan player.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new chapter in his football journey, Louza conveyed his pleasure at returning to Ligue 1 and joining FC Lorient.

Despite the club’s challenging performance in the initial phase of the season, the midfielder expressed confidence in the collective capability to reverse the trend.

“I am happy to return to Ligue 1 and sign for FC Lorient. The club had a complicated first part of the season, but I am convinced that we are capable of reversing the trend,” remarked Imrân Louza in his statement featured in the press release.

Embracing the challenge presented, Louza committed to giving his best to contribute positively to the club’s performance and maintain its standing at the end of the season.

The Moroccan international will be donning the number 6 jersey for FC Lorient.

Imrân Louza, who honed his skills at FC Nantes, boasts an impressive track record with 66 appearances for the Canaries, featuring prominently in Ligue 1 with 58 matches.

His move to Watford in the summer of 2021 marked his venture into English football, where he accrued 60 appearances, including 20 in the Premier League.

The addition of Imrân Louza, recognized for his technical prowess, creativity, endurance, and adept passing skills, is expected to fortify FC Lorient’s midfield as they navigate the challenges of the second half of the season in Ligue 1.
