The Malian international featured in only five matches, with just one start. Fiorentina opted not to exercise the purchase option for the midfielder, meaning he is set to return to PSG.
Despite the challenges at Fiorentina, Sissoko expressed his desire to continue his career in Italy. His agent, Andrea Cattoli, mentioned the potential opportunity for Sissoko to join Napoli. Cattoli highlighted Sissoko’s unfortunate physical problems during his time at Fiorentina but emphasized that the midfielder has the ideal profile to play in Rafael Benitez’s team. Sissoko, who also has experience in Spanish football, is open to negotiations with Napoli as he looks to make an impact in Serie A.
