The Ivory Coast national football team is facing internal conflicts and controversies. After the physical altercation between players Jean Jacques Gosso Gosso and Abdul Razak, now there’s a dispute between Sidy Diallo, president of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), and Kabi Appolinaire, a delegate from the Ministry of Sports. Diallo refused to allow Kabi Appolinaire to accompany the team to Tanzania for the World Cup qualifiers, despite the latter being delegated by Alain Lobognon, the Minister of Sports. This incident adds to the growing concerns about the state of Ivorian football, tarnishing the team’s image.
