Mohamed Salah celebrated after 300th Premier League appearance for Liverpool
Liverpool FC honored Mohamed Salah as he reached his historic 300th Premier League match for the club.
Starting against Nottingham Forest at Anfield, Salah cemented his status among Liverpool legends, joining the ranks of Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, and Sami Hyypiä.
The official Liverpool account posted, “Historic appearance for Mo… his 300th Premier League match for the Reds.” Salah, now 33, is also closing in on four Golden Boot awards and has racked up 250 goals for the club, sparking conversation about his future. While rumors circle about possible moves, with interest from Saudi clubs, Liverpool seems intent on keeping him, unless an irresistible offer arrives.
Former Liverpool goalkeeper David James commented, “Both Liverpool and Salah have benefitted from their contract, and if the numbers aren’t what the club needs, a mutual discussion could see Mo move on.” James also added, “Salah is only 33. With his fitness, he could easily play another contract, like Ronaldo and Messi have done.”
Liverpool has already begun scouting for possible replacements, with Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise named as a possible candidate, as Salah’s legend continues to grow.
