Italian club Inter Milan is reportedly considering the possibility of releasing Kenyan midfielder MacDonald Mariga in January. Since his arrival at the start of the 2010-2011 season, Mariga has been more notable for his time in the infirmary than for his on-field performances, making only 20 appearances.
After being loaned to Parma and then to Real Sociedad in Spain, Mariga returned to Giuseppe Meazza this summer with the intention of completing the season under the management of Andrea Stramaccioni. However, it is uncertain whether he will follow through with this plan.
Despite the potential uncertainty at Inter Milan, Mariga is unlikely to be without options in the upcoming winter transfer window. Two clubs have reportedly expressed interest in the Harambee Star midfielder. English club Fulham is said to consider Mariga one of their priorities for January. Additionally, Parma is reportedly open to the idea of welcoming the player back.
