Galatasaray ready to splash €40 million bid for Nigeria star Ademola Lookman

Galatasaray have rekindled their interest in signing Nigeria international Ademola Lookman from Serie A outfit Atalanta.

Lookman, who plies his trade for Italian outfit remains keen about departure after missing out on a move during the summer transfer window.

However, the Turkish giants has re-established contact with Lookman’s representatives following an unsuccessful attempt to secure his signature in the summer.

According to reports, Galatasaray are ready to splash €40 million for the acquisition of the enterprising forward.

The 22-year-old forward joined Atalanta in summer 2022 and has since established himself as a key member of the team. With his current contract expiring in 2027, the Italian outfit could consider cashing in on the winger in order not to lose him on free transfer.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year has had a modest performance since the commencement of the 2025/26 football campaign, making 10 appearances and scoring just a goal in the process.

Since joining the club, Lookman has made 128 appearances, scoring 53 goals and delivering 23 assists across the period.
