In the pre-match press conference, Felipe Ovono stated, “We were not well-known in the last African Cup of Nations, and we did great.
For this AFCON, teams have more information about us.
We train a lot, and we are ready for the journey.”
He emphasized, “I will do my utmost to stop Victor Osimhen and the other Super Eagles players for a positive result in the first match.”
Speaking about Nigeria’s goalkeeper Onana, Ovono said, “Nigeria has great goalkeepers.
The goalkeeper coach who worked with Onana told me that he is a great goalkeeper.”
He affirmed, “In Africa, we have good goalkeepers like Onana, Mendy, and Mignan, who is of French origin but from Africa.
They make Africans proud.”
