MC Alger continued their outstanding form in the Algerian top-flight league on Sunday, beating El Bayadh 1-0 to claim a seventh consecutive victory.

Despite facing the league’s bottom side, MC Alger had to dig deep, breaking the deadlock only in the 78th minute through Larbi Tabti’s decisive strike.

The result marks Alger’s third straight 1-0 win and further strengthens their position at the top of the league table.

With 22 points from just eight matches, the capital club now sit three points clear of second-placed MC Oran, who have played three more games.

Meanwhile, Sead Ramovic’s CR Belouizdad continue to struggle for consistency, sitting seventh with 14 points from nine matches after five draws.

Since taking charge, Rulani Mokwena has remained unbeaten with MC Alger, boasting an impressive record of eight wins and four draws in 12 games across all competitions.

The South African tactician has quickly established his side as early favourites for the Algerian Ligue 1 title.

However, with just eight matches played, there is a lot to be done to clinch the title.
