I will be judged at the end of the season – Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou
Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is not getting carried away following a flying start to his spell at the club.
Ouaddou, who joined the Sea Robbers has been impressive since the commencement of the campaign. Despite guiding Pirates to the Carling final in South Africa, the former Wydad AC tactician insists he will not be swollen headed, saying he will be judged at the end of the season.
The Soweto giants inflicted a narrow victory over Richards Bay to secure a place in the Cup final. They will face the winner of Marumo Gallants and Golden Arrows clash in the final match.
“I’m still in the beginning. In the job, you have to be very humble. I think the ambition we have is to deliver in every game a good performance,” Ouaddou said after the 1-0 win over Richards Bay which saw them reach the Carling Knockout final.
“I think it’s too soon to summarise my time so far at Orlando Pirates, I’ll be judged at the end of the season.”
Midfielder Tshepang Moremi scored the only goal yesterday at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Under, Ouaddou Pirates won the MTN 8 already and are looking to add this Carling Knockout to their trophy cabinet after reaching its final for the first time in three seasons.
