Manchester United push to keep Bryan Mbeumo for two crucial games ahead of 2025 AFCON
Manchester United will request that Bryan Mbeumo remains with the club for their two upcoming Premier League fixtures against AFC Bournemouth on 13 December and Aston Villa on 21 December before he joins the Cameroon national football team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Cameroon’s first match in the tournament is set for 24 December against Gabon national football team in Agadir.
United are reportedly willing to provide a private jet to fly Mbeumo straight to Morocco immediately after the Villa clash. Having joined United this season, Mbeumo has already featured in 10 Premier League appearances, notching 4 goals and 1 assist.
The club clearly values his contribution and wants to maximise his impact during this congested schedule.
Mbeumo finds himself balancing club ambition and national duty. United’s push for him to stay illustrates their desire to keep momentum going before the busy festive period.
The Cameroonian forward’s presence will undoubtedly boost United’s attacking options during a key phase of the season.
