Al Ahly’s careful approach to signing Moroccan star Fouad Zahouani
Al Ahly is working thoughtfully to strengthen their squad during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Much attention has turned to Fouad Zahouani, the promising left-back from Morocco’s youth team who excelled in the recent World Cup in Chile.
The club’s board, led by Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, is considering Zahouani as a candidate, but negotiations are still at the inquiry stage and nothing concrete has been agreed. The club is also looking at several other positions to fill its needs.
An official source told Kooora, ” We don’t have all the CVs, but no negotiations have taken place with the players we’re considering. We’re only inquiring about clubs’ willingness to let players leave and their financial demands,”
With Zahouani attracting interest from Europe and Arab clubs, the opportunity for Al Ahly remains competitive. As the club prepares for the Egyptian Super Cup final against Zamalek, management is juggling immediate needs with long-term plans, including investing in young players for the future. The next few weeks may prove decisive for Al Ahly’s strategy as they aim for both instant results and sustainable growth.
