The Jeunesse Athlétique du Plateau (JA Plateau) has clinched its first-ever Benin football championship title at the conclusion of the 24th matchday played on Wednesday. JA Plateau finished the season with 44 points, securing a comfortable lead over the runner-up, Les Panthères, who had 36 points.
A notable surprise of the season was ASPAC’s performance. ASPAC, which had been the continuous champion since 2010, finished the season in 8th place, 13 points behind the newly crowned champions JA Plateau.
