Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo reaches century of official matches for Bournemouth
Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has reached a new milestone at Bournemouth following his involvement in their Premier League game last weekend.
The Black Stars forward played his 100th game for the Cherries last Saturday, with the side succumbing to a 3-1 defeat to giants Manchester City.
Semenyo started and played full throttle at the Etihad Stadium, but could do little about his outfit defeat to the former Champions League winners.
The Ghanaian attacker, who joined Bournemouth in January 2023 from Bristol City has established himself as an important member to the club. Out of the 100 appearances, Semenyo has racked up 28 goals and delivered 13 appearances for the Cherries.
Semenyo, who has become a top transfer target scored 8 goals in his first season for the Cherries before netting 11 times in his second campaign (2024/25 season).
With six goals already this season, Semenyo is just five strikes away from matching his record from last season. The Ghana international has nine goal contribution for Bournemouth in the current campaign, scoring six and providing three assists across the period.
Despite huge interest, Semenyo remains under contract at Bournemouth until summer 2023, having recently signed a new deal at the club.
