Cameroon forward Bryan Mbeumo crowned Premier League Player of Month for October
Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo has secured the Premier League Player of the Month award for October after a series of standout performances for Manchester United.
Mbeumo, who joined the Red Devils in the summer played a crucial role in the club’s success over the month, earning him the prestigious accolade.
The former Brentford star contributed four goals, helping Manchester United to secure victories in all three league matches.
He created the opener in a 2-0 home win over Sunderland, before taking just 62 seconds to score at Liverpool, helping United secure a first Premier League win at Anfield since 2015.
The Cameroon international saved his best performance for the end of the month, as he scored twice in a 4-2 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford to end October with a league-high four direct goal involvements.
Mbeumo, considered as one of Manchester United’s best players this season beat off competition from high-profile players like Matty Cash (Aston Villa), Bruno Guimarães (Newcastle), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), and Junior Kroupi (Bournemouth) to win the prize.
Other players, who missed out on the award include Nordi Mukiele (Sunderland), Igor Thiago (Brentford), and Jurriën Timber (Arsenal).
