FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter expressed his condolences and sadness over the death of player Jawad Akeddar. In a letter addressed to Ali Fassi Fihri, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Blatter extended his deepest sympathies to the FRMF, HUSA club, and the Moroccan football community. Jawad Akeddar, aged 28, passed away due to a heart attack on October 20, the day of the match between his club Hassania Union Sport d’Agadir (HUSA) and KAC Kánitra. The young striker had previously played for Olympique Club de Khouribga, AS FAR de Rabat, and Moghreb de Tétouan.
