Joao Rafael Kampango, the Mozambique goalkeeper, will no longer be called up to the national team after faking an injury during the last round of the return match of the CAN 2013 qualifiers against Morocco. The Mozambican technical staff criticized Kampango for leaving the field, claiming injury, while the team was trailing 2-0 and reduced to ten men. The suspicion of cheating grew when Kampango refused to be examined in Lisbon on the way back. The Mozambique national team was eliminated by Morocco, losing the match 4-0 and missing their first qualification for an African Football Cup of Nations.
