South African midfielder Masindi Nemtanjela reveals secret behind his explosive form at Orlando Pirates
South African international Masindi Nemtanjela has revealed the secret behind his explosive form at Orlando Pirates.
The 23-year-old is one of the mainstays in the Pirates midfield since joining in off-season. His outstanding performance for the Soweto giants has earned him a place in the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming friendly match against Zambia.
However, Nemtanjela has attributed his impressive showing at Orlando Pirates to dedication, while promising to do more for the club.
“With my performance, it was just about dedication. So, I’m happy with my performance.”” he told SuperSport TV after their 2-0 win against Magesi FC in the carling Cup Knockout.
Although the man of the match award on the night went to Magesi goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze, Nemtajela was close to receiving the accolade.
“I’d like to thank the gents for today, the way we all pushed. Yes, the coach set us up like that, because obviously Mr Nduli is injured. So, they placed me in that position and told me to look after Dansin. So, that’s why today I was playing deeper.”
The 23-year-old midfielder has made eight appearances across competitions for the South African giants this season.
