Volker Finke, announced as the future coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, has already assumed his role. To compensate for the absences of players still retained by their clubs for championship or cup reasons, the German technician, recognized by the Minister of Sports Adoum Garoua as the coach in place of the ill Akono, has summoned striker Jacques Zoua.
However, Jacques Zoua will also be absent for the friendly match against Ukraine as he is playing his club’s last match of the season. He is expected to return to play in both matches of the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
