Brazilian footballer Juninho received just one warning from his country’s sports justice system for violating the rules during a doping test. The former Lyon player, now 37 years old, appeared before the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STFDJ) after going through the locker room before a doping test, as prohibited by Brazilian regulations. Juninho explained that he was in a hurry that day because he had a flight to catch after the match. He risked a maximum suspension of two years but received only a warning. Juninho played for Lyon before joining Vasco da Gama in 2011.
