“Dima Maghreb. Let’s Go!” – Achraf Hakimi rallies Morocco U20 ahead of historic FIFA U20 World Cup final
Morocco is on the brink of history as the national U20 team prepares to play in their first-ever FIFA U20 World Cup final.
The moment has united the entire nation, drawing support from all corners, including messages from some of Morocco’s biggest football icons.
Among them is PSG and senior national team star Achraf Hakimi, who sent a powerful message of encouragement to the young Atlas Cubs ahead of the final.
“First of all congratulations to you for all the hard work, for making us shine in this World Cup. Now there is one more effort left to do. We are all behind you, proud of you. Dima Maghreb. Let’s go guys, all together!” Hakimi said in a video shared on social media.
Morocco’s U20 side has been one of the standout teams of the tournament. After topping their group, they defeated the USA in the quarterfinals before overcoming France in a dramatic semifinal, winning 5–4 on penalties following a 1–1 draw.
Their success has been driven by the leadership of Captain Othmane Maâma, decisive goalkeeping performances, and the tactical guidance of Coach Mohamed Ouahbi.
Their opponents in the final, Argentina, come with the reputation and experience of being six-time champions.
However, Morocco has captured the world’s attention with their resilience, collective strength, and unbreakable team spirit.
