The Ivory Coast U-17 national football team, known as the Eléphanteaux, has received special bonuses from the Ivorian Head of State, amounting to 5 million CFA francs each, in recognition of their victory in the African Youth Cup (CAN U17) in Morocco. The team defeated Nigeria in the final on April 27, earning them the title. The Eléphanteaux will now represent Ivory Coast in the upcoming U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
