The friendly match between the women’s teams of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon ended in a draw with no goals scored. This match served as a prelude to the upcoming African Women’s Football Cup of Nations (CAN 2012). The tournament’s 8th edition is scheduled to take place in Equatorial Guinea from October 28. In Group A, the DRC is paired with Senegal, South Africa, and the host country, Equatorial Guinea. Cameroon is placed in Group B alongside Nigeria (the defending champion), Ivory Coast, and Ethiopia.
