2026 World Cup qualifiers: Black Stars carrying positive momentum into Central African Republic clash – Otto Addo

Ghana head coach Otto Addo says his team is approaching their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic with renewed confidence and a positive mindset.

The Germany-trained tactician believes the Black Stars’ hard-fought victory over Mali in their previous outing has boosted team morale ahead of the crucial encounter.

He, however, urged his players to stay disciplined and avoid complacency as they look to take another important step toward World Cup qualification.

“Everything is in our hands, but I hope we learnt from the last away game against Chad. It is important that we stay focused and concentrated and not think we have already won because that is a danger,” Addo cautioned in his pre-match press conference.

“We were very happy with the result against Mali, and we are taking this positive feeling into the Central African Republic game,” he added.

The crucial qualifier will take place in Morocco on Wednesday, October 8. The Black Stars, who currently sit atop Group I, could seal their qualification for next year’s World Cup if they secure victory and other results go in their favour.
