CAF has sanctioned Etoile Sportive du Sahel for the violence during a match last September that led to their disqualification from the African Champions League. The CAF Disciplinary Commission handed down a relatively light punishment, consisting of two closed-door matches (one of which is suspended) and a fine of $25,000. Despite the sanction, Etoile Sportive du Sahel will be allowed to participate in the next edition of the Confederation Cup, representing Tunisia alongside Club Sportif Sfaxien.
