The UEFA executive committee has intensified its efforts in the fight against racism in football stadiums. Any act of racism will now be punished according to a disciplinary grid established by the regulations:
- For spectators:
- Partial closure of the stadium for a first offense.
- Match behind closed doors with a fine of 50,000 euros for a second offense.
- For players or officials:
- Suspension of at least ten matches.
This change, initially announced last month by UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino, has been officially included in the disciplinary code.
