I’m not disappointed I didn’t win the 2025 Ballon d’Or – Achraf Hakimi
Moroccan superstar Achraf Hakimi has indicated that he is not disappointed about missing out on winning the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.
At the ceremony held last Monday, the PSG full-back was ranked the sixth best men’s player in the world.
His PSG teammate, Ousmane Dembele, was adjudged the winner of this year’s coveted award.
Speaking on the rankings, Achraf Hakimi said, “I’m not disappointed by not winning it, at all.”
According to the highly-rated full-back, just being in the top 10 is a win enough for him.
“It’s already very good to be in the top 10. I don’t think about the individual trophy but about the collective trophies,” Hakimi said in an interview.
Hakimi’s sixth-place finish places him among the game’s global elites as one of the household names ahead of top stars such as Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé and Chelsea’s breakout Star Cole Palmer.
The Moroccan continues to shine for club and country and has established himself as one of the best full-backs in the game.
