Mahamane Traoré, the Malian midfielder, is set to continue his adventure with OGC Nice as the club is reportedly offering him a new contract. Traoré had a decent season with the Aiglons, and the club has expressed interest in extending his stay.
“The club asked me to continue, and I am very good at Nice. So I think that the extension is on the right track,” Traoré mentioned in his comments reported by France Football. Although he is currently under contract until 2014, Traoré seems positive about resigning with Nice.
Arriving in Nice during the era of Frédéric Antonetti, the Malian player has become a key member of Claude Puel’s team. He played 23 Ligue 1 matches this season, starting 22 of them, and scored 3 goals despite his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) and facing two muscle injuries.
