On the first day of the 2013 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in Morocco, several exciting matches took place:
- In Group B, Ivory Coast defeated Egypt 4-1. Sakanoko (8′), David (12′, 14′), and Aka (22′) scored for Ivory Coast, while Aly (19′) scored for Egypt.
- Nigeria secured a convincing 8-4 victory over Libya. Isiaka Olawele and Emeka Ogbonna each scored hat-tricks, with additional goals from Emmanuel Kyande and Abu Azeez for the Supersand Eagles.
