His latest achievement comes not long after he became the Premier League’s fourth highest goalscorer of all time, underlining his lasting influence. He is now only three assists behind Steven Gerrard, another Liverpool great, who sits in eighth place with 92.
At the very top of the list is Ryan Giggs, whose remarkable 162 assists remain unmatched.
