Liverpool coach Arne Slot hails Mohamed Salah’s impact before derby against Everton
Mohamed Salah has once again become the center of attention at Liverpool, with manager Arne Slot showering praise on the Egyptian forward ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton.
Slot believes Salah’s influence stretches beyond moments of brilliance and continues to define the team’s rhythm.
“I’d rather share the version of Salah that appeared in the Atletico Madrid match,” Slot said in the introductory press conference. “He was very impressive and touched the ball a lot. I enjoyed his performance.”
The Dutch coach added, “When you’re a great player and a big star, your mark must always be present, even if you don’t perform well. And here I mean goals or assists.”
“This is what distinguishes Mohamed Salah, he is always present and available,” Slot continued.
He explained, “Many players shine when the team is performing well, but they don’t leave a distinctive mark when the team is declining. But Salah is capable of that.”
Salah recently underlined his form by scoring twice in a thrilling 3-2 win against Atletico Madrid and netting a dramatic penalty winner against Burnley in stoppage time.
