Al Ahly confirm Mohamed Mostafa Zizo’s injury as star forward begins road to recovery
Al Ahly have confirmed that Ahmed Mostafa Zizo faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury during the Red Team’s 1-1 draw with Enppi in the Egyptian Premier League.
The setback has left the club and its supporters concerned, as the influential midfielder has been a key figure in recent matches.
Club doctor Ahmed Gaballah explained on the official website that medical tests, including ultrasound and MRI scans, revealed a second-degree strain in the adductor muscle. He stressed that Zizo has already started a treatment and rehabilitation program tailored for him and will be closely monitored until he is fit to return.
A source from Al Ahly told Kooora that the player will be out for at least two weeks.
“Despite the great effort the player is making in his rehabilitation program, it will be difficult for him to be in time for the summit match against Zamalek on September 29,” the source added.
Zizo’s absence will test Al Ahly’s depth as they push through a busy league campaign.
