Moroccan company secures medical contract for AFCON

Air Ambulance CAF CAN Cote D Ivoire

“Air Océan Maroc,” has been awarded the medical coverage contract for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place in the Republic of Ivory Coast.

The Moroccan company outshone global competitors in a tender organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The Moroccan company earned this distinction as a medical plane, a specially equipped “Learjet 45” with Moroccan registration “CN TMV,” took off from Ben Slimane Airport on Monday.

Onboard, a medical team consisting of two emergency and disaster medicine specialists prepared to provide crucial medical support during the continental football extravaganza.

It’s worth noting that the Moroccan air ambulance is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities.

It will remain stationed at Abidjan Airport throughout the duration of the African football event, ready to respond to any health emergency that may affect any member of the 24 participating teams in this significant continental competition.

This contract win underscores the capabilities and preparedness of Moroccan medical services to ensure the health and well-being of all participants in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The provision of a dedicated medical aircraft and team reflects the commitment to delivering top-notch medical support during the tournament, emphasizing the importance placed on player and staff welfare.
