Bayern Munich prepare for Chelsea clash with Nicolas Jackson as secret weapon
Bayern Munich are hoping to learn a thing or two about Chelsea from new signing Nicolas Jackson before their clash in the UEFA Champions League.
The German champions will host the Blues at the Allianz Arena in a highly anticipated clash in midweek, one that carries extra significance for the Senegalese forward, who joined Bayern on loan from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
Sporting director Max Eberl confirmed in an interview with tz that the club intends to tap into the striker’s knowledge of his parent club as part of their preparation.
“I’m sure Vinni and the coaching staff will ask him questions. There are always certain processes that you might still see in the analysis,” Eberl explained.
He added, “What signals are they receiving? What do these signals mean? I do believe that the coaching staff is using this advantage, in quotation marks.”
While Jackson has yet to fully settle into life in Munich, his familiarity with Chelsea’s tactical patterns and dressing room dynamics could prove crucial as Bayern look to begin their Champions League campaign on a strong note.
