AS FAR goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti vows victory ahead of Raja Casablanca clash
AS FAR goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti has assured supporters that the club will triumph in their upcoming showdown against rivals Raja Casablanca.
The highly anticipated clash is set for Wednesday, September 17, at the Stade Mohammed V, as part of the second round of the Moroccan Professional League.
Tagnaouti, who signed for AS FAR in the summer of 2025 after a long spell with Wydad Casablanca, is looking to re-establish himself at the top level.
The 28-year-old was part of Morocco’s squads at the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups, but a major injury two years ago derailed his progress, costing him his place with the Atlas Lions.
For Tagnaouti, the Raja–FAR classic represents more than just three points; it is a chance to showcase his form and push for a national team recall.
AS FAR opened their league campaign on a strong note, recording a 2-0 victory over Ittihad Yaacoub El Mansour, and will be banking on that momentum ahead of the derby.
