Mahmoud Khatib, the president of Al Ahly, has reached out to the club’s members with a heartfelt message, encouraging them to attend the upcoming General Assembly meeting next Friday.

The gathering will focus on approving amendments to the club’s bylaws following the introduction of Sports Law No. 171 of 2025.

According to the Red Devils’ official website: “Al-Khatib affirmed his great confidence in Al-Ahly’s members, who have never hesitated to respond to their club’s call, especially since their attendance this time is of paramount importance in shaping the club’s future and approving its bylaws.”

The club’s leader also promised to be present at the meeting, stressing that the occasion is directly tied to the stability and direction of Al Ahly.

This message comes only a day after El Khatib revealed his wish to step down due to health reasons. However, Al Ahly’s board of directors rejected his resignation, insisting that his leadership remains vital as he continues to inspire both members and supporters with his devotion to the club.
