Morocco youngster Bilal El Khannouss has expressed his gratitude for the smooth arrival in San Pedro as the Moroccan national team readies itself for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Speaking to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation website, he stated,
“Thank God we arrived yesterday to prepare well for this competition.”
Highlighting the positive atmosphere, El Khannouss mentioned the team’s effective training session and their commitment to ongoing preparations.
Emphasizing the quality of their facilities, he remarked, “Thank God, the hotel is good, as is the stadium. I think it is the best stadium I have seen since I came to Africa. All capabilities are available to us to prepare properly.”
Looking ahead, the KRC Genk player underlined the team’s dedication to following the coach’s instructions and giving their all during the tournament.
He expressed confidence in meeting the expectations of the Moroccan public, stating,
“We will do our best to make them proud of us. We thank them for their unwavering support throughout all competitions.”
As the Moroccan national team gears up for the African Cup of Nations, El Khannouss assured fans that they will strive to bring pride to the nation through their performance on the field.
The Atlas Lions will begin their AFCON 2023 adventure against Tanzania on January 17, 2024, in San Pedro.
